An Evening Designed for Curious Parents
Parent Information Night is a dedicated evening event for families who want to learn more about Acton Academy before making an enrollment decision. Whether you attended our Open House and want to go deeper, or this is your first introduction to Acton, this event is designed to answer your most important questions in a relaxed, conversational setting.
What We Will Cover
The Acton Philosophy. Our head of school will walk you through the core beliefs that drive everything we do: that every child is a genius who deserves to find a calling that changes the world, that learning is best driven by intrinsic motivation and real-world challenges, and that character development is as important as academic achievement. You will understand not just what we do differently, but why.
A Day in the Life. We will take you through a typical day at Acton Academy, from the morning launch through core skills, quest work, and afternoon reflection. You will see how learners manage their own time, set their own goals, and hold each other accountable. We will share real examples and stories from our studios that illustrate what self-directed learning looks like in practice.
The Studio Model. Learn about our four studios — Spark, Discovery, Adventure, and Launchpad — and understand the developmental philosophy behind each one. We will explain how learners progress through studios, what the transition process looks like, and how we support children at every stage of their journey.
Enrollment and Tuition. We will provide detailed information about the enrollment process, timeline, and tuition structure. Our admissions coordinator will be available to answer specific questions about financial assistance, payment plans, and scholarship opportunities.
Your Questions. The majority of our time will be dedicated to answering your questions. We know that choosing a school is one of the most important decisions a family makes, and we want you to have all the information you need to make that decision with confidence.
What Makes This Different from the Open House
The Open House is focused on experiencing Acton in action — observing studios, meeting learners, and getting a feel for the environment. Information Night goes deeper into the philosophy, the curriculum design, and the practical details of enrollment. Many families attend both events and find they complement each other well.
