Come See Acton in Action
We invite prospective families to join us for our Spring Open House — your chance to step inside our studios, meet our guides and current families, and experience firsthand what learner-driven education looks like in practice.
What You Will Experience
This is not a typical school tour where you walk through empty hallways and hear a rehearsed presentation. Our Open House is designed to give you a genuine window into the Acton experience.
Studio Observations. You will have the opportunity to observe each of our studios in action. Watch our Spark learners collaborate on a hands-on project. See Discovery learners navigating their core skills work independently. Observe Adventure learners engaged in a Socratic discussion. Our guides will be available to answer your questions and share the philosophy behind what you are seeing.
Parent Panel. Hear directly from current Acton families about their experience. This unscripted conversation gives you the chance to ask real questions and get honest answers from parents who have been on this journey. They will share what surprised them, what challenged them, and why they chose Acton for their children.
Campus Tour. Our learners will lead small group tours of the campus, showing you their workspaces, project areas, and outdoor learning environments. There is something uniquely powerful about hearing a nine-year-old explain their studio’s contract, their goal-setting process, and why they love coming to school every day.
Q&A with the Head of School. The Open House concludes with an open question-and-answer session where you can ask anything on your mind — from curriculum details to tuition information to the day-to-day logistics of the Acton experience.
Who Should Attend
This event is designed for families considering Acton Academy for the 2026–2027 school year. Whether your child is entering Pre-K or eighth grade, you are welcome to attend. Both parents and children are encouraged to come, though the studio observations are best suited for adults.
